Sigma Phi Delta - Theta Chapter

Who are we?

Haus

Sigma Phi Delta is the largest professional and social engineering fraternity in the world, with chapters spanning across North America. Theta Chapter has been here at UBC since 1932, and our wide network of alumni stretches across all engineering disciplines. We are leaders in student government, compete on student teams, host professional and social events, and do a hell of a lot more.

What do we do?

At Sigma Phi Delta, we run professional events, academic events, philanthropic events, and of course, social events. You'll find SPD brothers participating in blood drives, playing sports like Rec Ultimate Frisbee or Storm the Wall, holding student leadership positions, and sometimes just hanging out at the Haus. Keep an eye out for two of our major events: Animal Haus (a toga-themed party in October) and Green Slime (our annual St. Patrick's Day party); you don't want to miss them!

Why join ΣΦΔ?

In a nutshell: SPD is the closest-knit group of men in engineering at UBC. At SPD, you will find men with all sorts of hobbies, interests, and backgrounds. You will find men who will help you get through engineering, who will mentor you like a younger brother, who you will share life experiences with, and who will foster your leadership skills. Sigma Phi Delta transforms engineers into mengineers.

Want to rush Sigma Phi Delta? Come by the Haus, check out our Facebook page below, message a brother you might know, or email theta@sigmaphidelta.org! Our next rush period starts officially in September!
